About BIW

Beauty Industry West was formed as a non-profit organization in 1990 to serve as a cosmetic and personal care network.

BIW is a trade organization including members involved in all aspects of the beauty industry: advertising, packaging, fragrances, raw materials, manufacturers, marketers, formulators, consultants, regulatory and legal experts.

Our diverse group keeps our meetings interesting and fun and always educational.

Partnerships

Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising

FIDM is a specialized, private college dedicated to educating students for the Fashion, Beauty, Graphics, Interior Design, and Entertainment industries.

BIW's partnership with FIDM helps to mentor and provide opportunities to beauty students, which in turn provides an infusion of new graduates into the West Coast beauty industry.

FIDM/BIW Scholarship

Each year, BIW awards a FIDM student with a scholarship for $1,500.00.

Meetings

Frequency and Duration

We meet monthly on the second Tuesday of each month from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Exceptions

We hold no regular meetings during the months of July and August however we do host a special Summer Guest Event.
