BIW's Scholarship Program

Twice a year, Beauty Industry West awards a FIDM student with a scholarship for $1,500.00. The Scholarship recipient is chosen by the faculty of FIDM and the winner is invited to a BIW meeting where he/she is presented with the award.

Free BIW Membership

Beauty Industry West offers a free first year membership to BIW to all graduates of the FIDM beauty program.

BIW encourages FIDM graduates to attend meetings to stay current with industry information and network with industry professionals. BIW greatly benefits from the influx of young talented professionals as they begin their careers.

The FIDM Beauty Industry Curriculum

The Beauty Industry curriculum provides a comprehensive program into the world of beauty as it reveals the complexities of each of the components. It is comprised of 11 classes, an elective, and covers

The Beauty Industry courses are taught by experienced professionals who bring their hands-on experience and skills into the classroom.

In addition, guest speakers, field trips, demonstrations, videos and quarter projects provide a stimulating and practical environment for the students.

The FIDM Beauty Advisory Board includes professionals from the East and West Coast who offer their "voice of the industry" in curriculum development, future trends, internship and employment opportunities.
