By 2025, millennials will make up 75% of the workforce, and they are rapidly changing the culture where they work. And the evolution of equality in the workplace requires a new understanding of how diversity and inclusion affects not only our Customers, but also our employees. Companies now have to recognize and address a more diverse universe covering not only race and gender equality, religion, and sexual orientation, but also age, political beliefs, native language, and communication styles. Even choosing a gender on an employment application may soon offer more choices beyond simply male or female, and also include Binary and Non-Binary. In fact, when different minds and orientations come together to achieve a common goal for a company in an environment of mutual respect, the results can be monumental, however they can also present many new challenges. Process and product innovation results from having employees from a wide variety of demographics and backgrounds delivers to the bottom line, and it has been shown that those practicing diversity and inclusion in the workplace outperform other non-diverse companies by 15 percent. Our speaker, Jaime Castle, will share about her company’s transition and results achieved by honoring diversity and inclusion.

Biography - Jaime Castle -After successfully divesting Obagi from then-parent company Valeant Pharmaceuticals, Jaime Castle was named President and General Manager in November, 2017. As one of the few female presidents in the Medical Aesthetics Industry, and also one of the youngest, Jaime has guided Obagi to double digit, year-over-year revenue growth of 28 percent in a market that’s growing at a rate of only 5.6 percent. Jaime started her career as a Surgical First Assistant in the OR and quickly rose to establishing some of the top aesthetic products on the market. She’s held roles in Operations, Sales, R&D and Corporate Strategy, and her mission now is to drive a "future fearless" Obagi culture, where diversity and inclusion is a central principle. In addition to spearheading the SKINCLUSION initiative, Jaime is focused on increasing female leadership in the company, providing braille on their products and educational materials, developing educational assets for the hearing impaired, and ensuring that all employees receive diversity and inclusion training. Jaime is a member of the CEO Action! For Diversity and Inclusion, and is a mother of three, including a teenage daughter. She’s proud to empower women to use their voices to make change in the world.
